Life that finally fits

What Matters Now

I have been thinking about where I place my attention.

Years ago, I came across a prioritisation exercise that asks you to list what matters, choose a few items and allow the rest to wait.

The method was simple. What stayed with me was the discipline it required.

Some interests are close enough to our priorities that they feel equally urgent. They compete for time without appearing to be distractions.

I am interested in many things. Each new idea brings a brief sense of possibility, but holding too many at once eventually makes my life feel crowded.

So I created a Now page.

It gives me a place to record what deserves my attention during this particular season. Writing it down also helps me accept what I am setting aside.

The list will change as my life changes. Its purpose is to keep me with my current choices long enough to give them a real chance.

I used to think clarity would arrive as a permanent answer.

Now, I see it as a practice of returning to what matters and releasing what cannot receive my attention yet.

This is where I am choosing to be for now.
