My Story in 10

“Never restart a journey and use the same road that failed you before.”
— Dennis E. Adonis

Blogging since 2008

I first created a blog during my university days around 2008. Despite frequently deleting my posts, the passion for blogging persisted. In May 2017, I bought the domain aishahkamaludin.com, which I plan to maintain, insyaAllah.

My Mother as the Source of Inspiration

My mother’s meticulous documentation of everything has greatly influenced me. Her habit of journaling has been passed down to me and my siblings, helping us capture significant moments in our lives.

Love for Poetry

My love for poetry began in high school. I’ve been writing and reciting poems ever since, performing a couple of times in college. This passion extends to journaling, greatly influenced by my mother, who documents everything. My siblings have also adopted this habit at various points in their lives.

Early Marriage and Motherhood

I married my classmate at the young age of 20. We were together for seven years and had two beautiful, talented children before we divorced. My ex-husband remains a wonderful father to them.

Divorce as the Turning Point

My divorce in early 2016 was a significant turning point. To cope with the emotional turmoil, I immersed myself in learning new skills, including minimalism, photography, videography, social media marketing, writing, copywriting, storytelling, and blogging.

Making Myself Pretty

Post-divorce, I began paying more attention to my appearance. Learning basic makeup techniques improved my Instagram photos significantly. Despite this, I maintain a minimalist wardrobe with no more than 50 items, including bags, shoes, hijabs, and undergarments.

Getting Better through Minimalism

Divorce brought financial challenges, as I was accustomed to having support. Learning to manage my finances led me to discover minimalism. This lifestyle has not only helped me financially but also simplified my life, allowing me to focus on what truly matters.

Obsessed with Self-Development

My exploration of online resources fueled an obsession with self-development. I am now a full-time learner, reading daily and sharing my knowledge with friends and loved ones.

Simple Pleasures

On a lighter note, I love noodle soup. It’s a simple pleasure that brings comfort amidst the complexities of life.

Constant Chatter

The creation of this blog was partly to relieve my boyfriend from my constant chatter—just kidding. It’s a space for me to document and share my journey, insights, and growth.
