Cliché

I thought movies are cliché. When a parent is late for his/her kids’ performance on their big day, making an entrance just at the right time. The way the kids’ smiles make perfect shape at the glimpse of their proud parents watching from down the stage.

That was me today. The late parent.

My ex and A himself, arrived earlier. They were from nearer location.

H got fever last night. She didn’t sleep well. Her nose was stuffy. I carried her all night long with her head on my shoulder so the airway, be eased.

My back hurt so bad when I woke up in the morning and H, with traces of yellow and green all over her face – the prove of our rough night.

and we were late for A’s graduation.
