About

Hi. My name is A’ishah Kamaludin. A 29 year old mak cik from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I’ve been blogging for a while, on and off since 2008 (or maybe 2006, I can’t remember) but they are mostly just daily journal entries and pointless rants, Facebook and Twitter are taking care of that now (and actually Instagram story most of the time).

I started this blog because I enjoy writing and would like to share my thoughts to the world. I love to study (or Google on) human’s mind and behavior; psychology in general, relationship. and the power of the human mind. I recently encounter the idea of minimalism and have been converted since then, currently trying to audit and edit my life and it’s really a fun process that leads me to discover myself more.

Poetry is my favorite form of self expression. I’m not the best writer and poet. English is not my mother tongue and I always feel that my grammar and vocabulary is a bit off but I write for myself – as my daily journalling practice to stay focused and sane. Blogging and writing poetry indeed have helped a lot in improving my mood and mental health throughout many phases in my life.

To be honest with you, I still don’t have clear idea of what am I doing in this noisy online world. What I know is that I have passion for creativity and self expression. Other than poetry, I also enjoy music and speaking gigs, easily inspired by cute sketches and graphic art but I don’t really have talent in any of those hahah. Nevertheless, I believe there’s art in everything and everyone has their unique way to change the world. Everyone has their own perspective worth sharing. Being human is the most beautiful thing to happen to us. We are the best! (I hope there’s no alien or cat reading).
